Pain Reprocessing Therapy (PRT)

Do you live with chronic pain?

PRT is an evidence-based treatment for chronic pain. The theory underlying the treatment is that pain is a response to threat and the brain can misinterpret safe signals as threats. Through PRT, we retrain the brain to feel safe, reducing pain whether or not there’s an underlying injury.

A recent study of patients with back pain found that 98% of patients improved and 66% of patients were pain-free or nearly pain-free at the end of treatment.

EMDR is also very effective in treating chronic pain, among other benefits, and, as an EMDRIA-approved therapist, I have paired it with PRT to great benefit for multiple clients.

I’ll work with you to understand the threats in your life and how your body responds so that you can feel safe in your skin.
